Plus! is a completely new concept, a magazine
that originated here, without any overseas partner
or foreign interest. It was here, in the creative
environment of Huisgenoot, You and Drum, that
a dream became reality.
For
many years now, readers have been writing letters
and phoning in with requests - it was quite clear
that there was an almost insatiable market out
there, virtually unexplored - almost virgin territory.
Magazines have identified the need and tried to
satisfy the hunger for "useless" snippets of information
about favourite TV characters, but none so far
have been able to utilize the full potential of
the market out there.
The idea is not to publish yet another TV schedule,
but also information about the programmes. The idea is
not to criticize and make people feel inferior
about their choice of programmes, the movies they
watch - on TV or on circuit - or the video's they
rent ... TV Plus! will be there to share in the
readers' "obsession" - almost like an old friend
with whom one can comfortably watch a favourite
soap while sharing a cup of tea and some thoughts
on what's going to happen.
